Hampton Tedder Technical Services is an independent electrical engineering and testing agency fully qualified to perform all phases of systems design and testing on low, medium, and high voltage electrical power systems. We have over 50+ years of field experience.
Our registered Professional Electrical Engineers collectively have over 50 years experience in installing electrical distribution systems. Working hand in hand with Field Installation Crews allows our engineers to design systems that are constructed under budget, easy to install, accessible for maintenance, and are built to last.
We have over $3,000,000 inventory of test equipment with the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art test equipment in the industry. We have invested over $200,000 in purchasing Partial Discharge Analysis Machines and the Doble Complex Relay Computer Driven Test Set. We can test protective relays with greater accuracy in less time.
Our test equipment has a maintenance & calibration program whose accuracy is directly traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Records which show date and results of instruments calibrated, are kept up to date.
Highly Trained & Qualified
NECA members are electrical contractors who work in all aspects of electrical construction. Electrical contracting is the business of bringing power, light, and communications to buildings and communities across the United States and around the world. We have many engineers on staff who are a part of the NECA organization and take pride in their certification of being highly trained and qualified electrical contractors.
As a contractor in the states of California, Arizona and Nevada, we have obtained our electrical contractors license. In California, we have our C-10 Electrical License. In Nevada, we have our A-2 General Electrical License and our A-17 Electrical Transmission License. In Arizona, we have our C-2 General Electrical License and our A-17 High Voltage License.
This allows us to bring you back online with the absolute least amount of delay because we can perform the installation and maintenance necessary during our testing and emergency services.
In-House Level 2, 3 and 4 Technicians
Our Certified Test Technicians have passed the NETA Certified Test Technician Examination. They have been engaged on a full time basis, performing Testing inspections and maintenance of Electrical Power Systems for more that 10 years and have a minimum of 6,000 hours of electrical hands-on technical testing and maintenance experience. They are indeed Journeyman Test men. Additionally, several of our NETA Certified Test men have obtained their Electrical Engineering Degrees, several have attained their Professional Registration.
All of our technicians have gone through the IBEW apprenticeship and have obtained their certifications. Our certifications under the IBEW range from foreman, cable splicers, insider journeyman wireman and more. Each year, we have over 20,000 hours working in the field keeping our skills sharp.
